CALCULATION EXAMPLES OF OVERALL ACCURACY

Input: K thermocouple, 0 – 1000°C, Output: 4 – 20 mA DC
Absolute value accuracy (Table 1): 0.25°C
CJC error (1°C) added: 1.25°C
➠ Input accuracy = 1.25°C ÷ 1000°C × 100 = 0.125 %
Output span: 16 mA (20 – 4)
➠ Output accuracy = 20 mA ÷ 16 mA × 0.04 = 0.05 %
➠ Overall accuracy including CJC error = 0.125 + 0.05 = ±0.18 % of span
